About
The Long, Tiring Days of Imaginary Keith

Keith has worked many jobs over the years. Sometimes I think maybe I shouldn't have imagined him working quite so hard. But just look at him go!

Paperboy, Lawn mowing boy, Snow shoveling boy, Corn Detassler, Farmhand, House Painter, Cabinetmaker, Grocery Store Bag Boy, Surveyor's Assistant, Farmhand (again), Artillery man, Military policeman, Offshore Oil Rig Roustabout, Hospital Kitchen Janitor, University Campus Escort, Newspaper Photographer, Chinese Restaurant Chef, Campus Party Photographer, Bookstore Employee, Camp Counselor, Horse Wrangler, Hotel Pantry Chef, Room Service Waiter, Junior High Teacher, Gas Station Attendant, Burger Flipper, Dance Club Bouncer, Speed Boat Factory Worker, Paperboy (again), Video Production Co. Salesman, Law Office Receptionist, Waiter, Landscaper, Husband and Father.

Imaginary Keith might also tell you that he worked in a mall, selling corndogs. But that's just something he made up.

Imaginary Keith and the Shadow of Love

I always imagine Keith in love. But nothing ever really seems to work out for Imaginary Keith. Maybe my hands are just too small to make the shadow of love.

Poor Imaginary Keith.

When Imaginary Keith Dreams

I always watch Imaginary Keith when he sleeps. His eyes dance and I see that he is dreaming of writing. Imaginary Keith always dreams of writing, no matter how hard the world shakes. It is the one dream from which he never wakes.

It is the one thing I like best about my imaginary friend.
